Let It Be
Worry has no real value. None. It adds nothing to us. It contributes absolutely no real worth to our lives. If anything, it only diminishes. It only detracts. And yet, we so readily, almost eagerly, embrace it as if it were a virtue. We worry about so many things. And most of them are beyond our power to change. Will worry add even one single hour to our lives? Will worry solve the problems that torment and taunt us? No. In the end, worry leaves us only weakened and wearied. The answer? Let it go. Release your grip and let the issue rest in the arms of a loving God. Yes, I know it’s one thing to say it and something entirely different to do. But it can be done. Whatever the situation, God sees, God knows, and God cares. Give the problem, give the worry to Him… and let it be.
